The FR901 is a custom size gage that provides a quick and accurate flushness measurement. The sized flat end stylus is perfect for measuring the highest point of the fastener head for flushness after installation. The contact area of the flat stylus is generally sized to cover approximately 80% of the fastener's head. The base is fixed and it has a predetermined ID and OD to clear the installed fastener head and the surrounding structure. This gage could be used in combination with any countersink depth or diameter gauges in order to achieve greater control of the fastener installation process.
