In measuring hole depth take reading where the skin surface meets the number or line on gauge.
If directly on a line use either the indicated grip or the next longer grip.
In cases where there a tappered sheet condition exits, determine grip length at the hole centerline.
The taper must not exceed 7° to ensure the proper performance of the fastener.
